Hartlepool United have signed former West Ham striker Jordan Hugill. The 34-year-old joins the England National League club on a one-year contract with an option to extend.

Hugill was released by Rotherham United after they were relegated from League One. He will officially join Hartlepool on 1 July.

Hugill has a proven track record, scoring 30 goals in 114 appearances for Preston North End. He also had a successful loan spell at Hartlepool in 2015, scoring four goals in eight appearances.
