Magnificent Support Praised by Lee Clark

What Happened?
Almost 400 Poolies made the near-570 mile round trip to Hampshire over the weekend to watch their team claim a hard-earned win at National League rivals Aldershot Town. The team's second-half header from Corey McKeown and a late penalty miss from Marcus Dinanga ensured their side made it two wins from two with the narrowest of wins at the EBB Stadium.
Why It Matters for Hartlepool
Lee Clark has constantly stressed his determination to provide Pools fans with a team to be proud of - and he reiterated that message in the aftermath of Saturday's win. He insisted he and his players will never take the support they receive for granted.
What Comes Next?
All focus now goes on Pools' attempts to make it three wins in as many games when they visit Sutton United next Saturday lunchtime. Clark has insisted there is still room for improvement from his players despite their positive opening week of the season.
League Standing
Hartlepool United are currently 5th in the National League, with 6 points from 2 games, and a recent form of WW. They have scored 3 goals this season, conceding 0, and have a +3 goal difference.

Clark has also mentioned that there are areas where the team will want to improve, despite their positive opening week of the season. He said: "There are areas where we will want to improve, definitely. We didn't have it all our own way, as I said, probably overall over the 47 minutes in the first-half, Aldershot were probably the more dominant team. We had to be ready so I think there is loads more room [for improvement]. I mentioned that at half-time, we have got some really top footballers - but what they've shown in the last two games is we have some top characters as well. I can't praise the players enough, they've been absolutely fantastic.
